Manage your account security, enable two-factor authentication, connect external accounts, and control active sessions in GetFeed.

Security & Access page showing security settings and session management

Introduction

The Security & Access page is your control center for protecting your GetFeed account. Here, you can connect external login providers, enable two-factor authentication, and manage active sessions across your devices. A secure account protects your content, team access, and connected social platforms.

Pro-Tip

Enable two-factor authentication and connect a backup login provider to ensure you never lose access to your account.

Prerequisites

Before configuring security settings, ensure you have:

  • Access to the GetFeed dashboard
  • A smartphone with an authenticator app (for 2FA setup)
  • Access to external accounts you want to connect (Google, GitHub, etc.)

Accessing Security Settings

Navigate to Settings

From your GetFeed dashboard, click Settings in the left sidebar.

Open Security & Access

In the Settings sidebar, under Account, click Security & Access.

Connected Accounts

Connected accounts let you sign in to GetFeed using external identity providers, making login faster and more secure.

Connecting an Account

Find the provider you want to connect in the Connected Accounts section

Click Connect next to the provider

Sign in to the external service and authorize GetFeed

Once connected, you can use that provider to sign in

Disconnecting an Account

Click the menu button next to a connected account and select Disconnect. You'll need at least one login method (password or connected account) to access your account.

Important

If you disconnect all external accounts and forget your password, you may lose access to your account. Always keep at least one working login method.

Two-Factor Authentication (2FA)

Two-factor authentication adds an extra layer of security by requiring a code from your phone in addition to your password.

Setting Up 2FA

Locate the 2FA Section

In the Two-factor authentication section, find Authenticator app and click Enable.

Scan the QR Code

Open your authenticator app (Google Authenticator, Authy, 1Password, etc.) and scan the QR code displayed on screen.

Enter Verification Code

Enter the 6-digit code from your authenticator app to verify the setup.

Save Backup Codes

Save the backup codes provided. These one-time codes can be used if you lose access to your authenticator app.

Recommended Authenticator Apps

  • Google Authenticator (iOS, Android)
  • Authy (iOS, Android, Desktop)
  • 1Password (iOS, Android, Desktop)
  • Microsoft Authenticator (iOS, Android)

Disabling 2FA

If you need to disable two-factor authentication:

  1. Go to the 2FA section
  2. Click the menu or disable button
  3. Enter your password to confirm
  4. 2FA will be removed from your account

Security Warning

Only disable 2FA temporarily when switching authenticator apps. Re-enable it as soon as possible.

Managing Sessions

The Sessions section shows all devices and browsers currently logged into your GetFeed account.

Viewing Active Sessions

Each session displays:

  • Device/Browser: The type of device or browser used
  • Location: Approximate location based on IP address
  • Last Active: When the session was last used

Ending Sessions

If you see a session you don't recognize or want to log out of a device remotely:

  1. Find the session in the list
  2. Click End Session or the X button
  3. That device will be immediately logged out

Security Tip

If you see unfamiliar sessions, end them immediately and change your password.

Ending All Sessions

To log out of all devices except your current one:

  1. Look for the "End all other sessions" option
  2. Confirm the action
  3. All other devices will be logged out
